DETROIT (4/10/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team will have one more tournament before the postseason as the red, white and blue head back to the Buckeye State for the Wright State Invitational.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will begin with two rounds on Sunday, Apr. 12, and finish up on Monday at the par 71, 7,075-yard Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio.Â
The tournament will feature the host Raiders, Ashland, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Eastern Illinois, Indian Hills CC, Findlay, Green Bay, IU Indy, Mercyhurst, Southern Indiana, Xavier, and Youngstown State.Â
It will be the fifth straight year UDM participates in the event, as the Titans shot 875 (292-293-290) for 11th place last season, led by
David Swab's career-low 213 (74-69-70) for a share of 21st. In 2024, Detroit Mercy tallied an 891 (295-302-294) for seventh.
The last time out, the Titans challenged for the title, finishing runner-up with an 871 (287-285-299) scorecard at the NKU Jewell Invitational. Graduate senior
Bavake Sihota - the reigning HL Golfer of the Week - tied for third with a 214 (70-70-74), while junior
Mason Sokolowski was just behind him, tying for fourth with a 215 (68-72-75).Â
