2014: Played in 11 games, all as a reserve… Did not register a point… Picked up a career-high 11 ground balls… Attempted four shots on the year with three on goal… Picked up a career-best three ground balls at Manhattan… Had two GB’s in the win at Monmouth and in the MAAC Championship Semifinals at Marist… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and the All-MAAC Academic Team. 

2013: Appeared in 13 games with two starts and was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team… Scored eight points on six goals and two assists… Took 14 shots with nine on goal… Also credited with two caused turnovers and five ground balls… Posted a caused turnover in his collegiate debut at Navy… Started a streak of four-straight games with a goal notching his first collegiate marker at Bellarmine… Tallied a goal, assist, caused turnover and two ground balls at Marist… Found the back of the net in the win against VMI and then had a season-high three points on a season-best two goals with a helper at Jacksonville… Also fired one past the goalie at Siena… Tied his season-high with two GB’s in the MAAC Championship Semifinals upset of top-seeded Marist… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as well as the MAAC Honor Roll.

Prior To Detroit: Lettered for three years in lacrosse, earning honorable mention All-State as a junior and First Team All-State as a senior…Also a two-time First Team All-Conference and All-Area performer and was named All-Region in 2010…Totaled 180 career points and over 150 career ground balls, and won the Hoover Award for most ground balls in a season with 73 as a junior…Helped his team to a Kensington Lakes Athletic Association division, conference and association championship in 2010…Earned the KLAA and Northville HS Scholar Athlete Award in 2010 and 2011 and served as a team captain in his senior year… Played club lacrosse for 1763…A member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Donna and John Melucci…His great grandfather graduated from the University in 1928, while his cousin currently attends the UDM Dental School…Has two younger brothers… Chose Detroit because of its great academic reputation and a chance to play for the City of Detroit…A Bio-Chemistry major.
