Biography

2014: Played in all 14 games as a defensive midfielder… A finalist for the Senior CLASS Award and ultimately named Senior CLASS Award First Team All-American for lacrosse… Scored one goal and totaled 19 ground balls – tied for eighth on the team – and nine caused turnovers – tied for third on the squad… Had two ground balls and a career-best two caused turnovers in the season-opening win over Mercer… Picked up a career-high five ground balls against Michigan… Recorded two GB’s versus Quinnipiac and tied his career-high with a pair of caused turnovers and a ground ball in the home victory over Marist… Posted a caused turnover and two ground balls against Siena and at Manhattan… Also scored his only goal of the year against the Saints… Had two GB’s in the regular-season finale triumph at Monmouth and corralled a ground ball at Marist in the MAAC Championship Semifinals… Selected the Reverend Nobert Heutter Award winner at the Annual Academic & Athletic Awards Dinner, presented to a student-athlete who has demonstrated leadership, dedication, cooperation with teammates and coaches, pride in team achievements, determination to excel, and graciousness in victory or defeat… A member of the University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and the All-MAAC Academic Team… On the UDM Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)... Finished his career appearing in 58 games and ending with 11 goals, six assists, 17 points, 34 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. 

2013: Saw action in 14 games… Totaled seven ground balls and a caused turnover… Took 11 shots on the season with six on net… Forced his only caused turnover on the year against Marist in the MAAC Semifinals upset victory, and then picked up a season-best three ground balls in the championship win versus Siena… One of the team’s representative’s on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC’s All-Academic Team and Honor Roll.

2012: Appeared in 14 games with three starts…Ended the season with two goals and four assists…Took 26 shots with 14 on net for a .536 shots on goal percentage…Picked up three ground balls…Handed out a career-best two assists at Canisius…Also added helpers at Manhattan and against Siena…Posted a goal against Michigan with his other in the MAAC semifinals versus Canisius…A member of the University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2011: Played in all 16 games with five starts…Finished the year with eight goals and two assists for 10 points…All of his points were against MAAC teams…Was fourth on the squad with a .561 shots on goal percentage as 23 of his 41 shots found the cage…Scored a goal in seven-straight games, which included all six conference contests and the MAAC semifinals win over Marist…His first collegiate goal was in a home victory over VMI…Had a goal and an assist at Jacksonville…Tallied a season-high two markers in the Titans first-ever road win at Siena…Also had two points on a goal and a helper in the regular season finale at Marist…Took a season-high six shots in the semifinals against the Red Foxes ending the game with a goal as well as posting his first career caused turnover…A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Prior To Detroit: Earned four letters in lacrosse and led his team in scoring as a senior with 34 goals and 14 assists...Tabbed All-County as a senior and helped lead the Bruins to the Class A finals as a junior...During his prep career, he garnered Baldwin’s Strive for Excellence Award and played on Nassau County’s Rising Senior Select Showcase Team...Also earned the National Army Reserve, Synergy Fitness and Baldwin Bombers Gordon Memorial Scholarship.

Personal: Son of Priscilla and Ike Dennis…Has a younger brother…Lists his biggest thrill in sports his game-winning catch with 17 seconds left to defeat rival Farmingdale… Was named the Homecoming King as a senior…Majoring in Criminal Justice.
