The UDM women's tennis team ended the 2008 fall season as the No. 1 doubles pair of Annie Moore (St.Clair, MI/St.Clair) and Zeljka Minic (Zagreb, Croatia/Sport) dropped an 8-3 decision to Northwestern's Samantha Murray and Elena Chernyakova in the first round of the Wilson ITA Midwest Regional doubles draw, played in East Lansing.

The Northwestern duo was seeded third out of 64 teams in the field.

The UDM twosome fared much better in late day consolation action when they scored success over Eastern Illinois' top pair, Amanda Dibbs and Julianna Frey, by an 8-3 margin. On the fall campaign, the Titans' top doubles team, Moore and Minic, managed a ledger of 8-6.

The women's tennis team will now take a break from competition until January.
