The UDM men's tennis team was shutout for the second-straight day as the Titans dropped a 7-0 decision to Western Michigan at the West Hills Athletic Club in Kalamazoo on Sunday.

Detroit (0-2) saw its best opportunity for a win at No. 1 singles as junior Pjotrs Necajevs (Riga, Latvia/Herdera Vidusskola) won his first set 6-3, before falling 6-1 and 1-0 (10-8) in the final two sets.

Junior netters Patrick Troy (Beverly Hills, MI/Brother Rice) and freshman Nick Tolomei (Rochester Hills, MI/Adams) also had tough losses in singles as Troy fell 6-4, 6-3, while Tolomei was downed 6-3, 6-3.

The Titans return to action on Saturday, Jan. 24, when UDM travels to Toledo to take on the Rockets.
