Kalamazoo, Mich. (9/23/18) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team wrapped up a strong performance with a 4-2 record on the final day of the Western Michigan Universitiy Vredevelt Invitational.
 
As a team, the Titans finished the invite with an 11-7 record in singles.
 
Freshman Dino Bonetta defeated Notre Dame's Paul Gota, 6-4 and 6-1, from Flight B, while sophomore Yevhen Sirous defeated Valparaiso's Daniel Langston, 6-4 and 6-4, in Flight E.
 
Sophomore Gvidas Motuzas added a win over DePaul's Conor O'Meara in Flight F and senior Adam Zychowicz added a 6-1, 6-3 win over Kris Knof from WMU in Flight I.
 
After a 2-0 start to the weekend, sophomore Luka Soskic dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Lenhard Haupt from Western Michigan in Flight A.
 
Detroit Mercy returns to action next weekend at the Rocket Invitational in Toledo, Ohio.
