With the match tied at 3 apiece, senior Zeljka Minic (Zagreb, Croatia/Sport) came up with a huge win at No. 2 singles to help the Detroit women's tennis to a 4-3 victory over Chicago State on Friday night.

Minic dropped her first set 3-6 and was down early in her second set before rallying to win 7-6 (5). She then took control of the third set winning 6-3.

Also coming up with wins on the night was junior Svetana Flankova (Riga, Latvia/Riga Secondary 21) and sophomore Erin Weldon (Kalamazoo, MI/Mattawan). Flankova cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 sweep at the No. 3 slot, while Weldon recorded a 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 victory at No. 5. With senior Kelly Davis (South Lyon, MI / Farmington) winning by default at No. 6, the Titan netters were able to pick up their second win of the season.

UDM returns to action on Sunday when the Titans travel to Akron for a non-conference battle with the Zips.
