Day Two Doubles Results

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team officially ended the 2010 fall season on Saturday as UDM's last doubles tandem could not get past the second round at the USTA/ITA Midwest Championships.

Playing their second Big Ten opponent in the doubles draw, sophomores Chris Cheung (Mississauga, ON/Erindale Secondary) and Pablo Nunez (San Jose, Costa Rica/Educacion Abierta) could not pull off the upset falling to Wisconsin's Marek Michalicka, the overall No. 2 seed in singles play, and Petr Satral, 8-2.

The Titan duo started the championships with an 8-4 win over a Michigan State team on Friday.

With the fall season ending, the Titans will hit the courts for practice as they wait for the dual season to commence in January. The full 2011 schedule will be announced in the near future.
