The Detroit Titans men's tennis team returns to the friendly confines of the Motor City with two key Horizon League battles against UIC and Valparaiso this week. Both matches will take place at the Franklin Athletic Club in Southfield.
UDM opens its home stand against the Flames tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., and will face the Crusaders on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Admission to both events are free.
Thursday's contest will also be the start of the stretch drive for the Titans as they play their next five matches against conference foes, with four of those affairs at home. The red, white and blue stand at 6-8, 0-2 in conference play, but do boast the league leader in singles wins in senior
Pjotrs Necajevs. The reigning HL Player of the Year is 24-4, all from the top position, and is 9-0 all-time in conference dual play.
UIC comes into the match at 9-8 on the year and has won seven of its last nine matches, while Valparaiso is currently 2-9 on the season and riding a four-match losing streak.
