Wins by freshmen Julia Fernandes (Mississauga, ON/John Fraser) and Elena Strakhova (Penza, Russia/#216 “Didakt”) and senior Erin Weldon (Kalamazoo, MI/Mattawan) highlighted the final day of the Spartan Invitational.

Strakhova tallied the only singles win on Sunday as she defeated Alexandra Forsyth of IPFW, 7-5, 7-5.

In doubles, the Titan tandem of Fernandes and Weldon garnered an 8-5 victory over a mixed doubles team from Toledo and Chicago State. 

Detroit's third action in the non-traditional season will be in two weeks when UDM heads to Toledo for the Rocket Invitational.
