MATCH RESULTS

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Titans (2-4) were in play on Saturday evening with a contest against the Xavier Musketeers (1-3). The match for the men's tennis squad was played as part of a doubleheader with the women's team at the Franklin Athletic Club. Detroit fell by a 6-1 margin.
 
Jay Joshi and Chris Cheung teamed up at No. 3 doubles to score a 9-7 win but it was not enough to give the Titans the doubles point as Detroit fell in the other two match-ups. Cheung and Joshi have played together in the last three matches winning two of those three contests.
 
In singles, Cesar Escobar Serrano posted the lone Titan win playing in the No. 5 position. Serrano won in three sets with scores of 6-1, 1-6, 6-4.
 
Alex Latosinsky pushed his match to a third set tiebreaker but would fall by a 10-4 score as he has played in the No. 1 spot in each of the team's matches this year.
 
Detroit will host Wayne State Thursday in Southfield with match time slated for 9:00 p.m.
