CHICAGO (10/20/12)- Julia Fernandes led the University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team with a win at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Tournament in Chicago on Saturday.

Fernandes defeated Hankle from Youngstown State in straight sets (6-2, 6-4) in a consolation match. Elena Strakhova fell to O'Conner from Illinois in three sets (6-2, 1-6, 6-4).

This tournament wraps-up the fall season for the Titans.
