DAY TWO RESULTS
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The women's track and field team wrapped up indoor competition on the second day of the Youngstown State National Invitational in Youngstown, OH Saturday.
Two new high marks were set on the day as
Brandee Hart and
Sequoyia Calhoun both set new standards. Hart became just the second Titan to clear nine seconds in the 60m hurdles finishing third with a time of 8.93. While Calhoun set a new facility record in the 400m crossing first with a time of 56.09, a mark that was just .06 off from her personal indoor best.
Also in the 400m,
Jasmine Greene, 59.72 set a new PR and the #10 Titan best time while
Hana Hunt clocked in at 1:03.39 and
Nicole Meisner was right behind her at 1:04.29.
In the 200m, new PR's were claimed by Duncan and Hart who both tied for third place with a time of 25.72.
In the 60m dash,
Nikia Duncan busted out a 7.94 time in the finals, good for fifth place.
In the 800m,
Sarah Martinez's time of 2:22.74 was good for a tenth place finish while
Olivia Smid set a new career best at 2:29.91.
In the 3000m,
Katrina Oberski 10:32.48 and established a new career best.
Zeinab Baydoun also set a new indoor best with a 10:41.48 clip.
Kayla Zauner set a new pole vault indoor career best of 2.85m
The women's track and field team will focus on its next action on Feb. 10-11 as they will compete in the Grand Valley State University Big Meet in Allendale.
