MUNCIE, Ind. (1/25/13) - The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team was defeated by Ball State, 7-0, Friday evening at Ball State in the first of two Titan matches scheduled for the weekend.

The Cardinals took all six singles matches in straight sets. Rafael Orantes took his match to a second set tiebreaker at No. 4 singles but would fall 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) in the end. 

Ball State took two of three doubles matches. The third doubles match, at No. 1 doubles, was not completed.

UDM will face Xavier Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Cincinnati.
