YPSILANTI, Mich. (2/1/13) - The University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 match at Eastern Michigan Friday night at the Chippewa Club.

UDM's Valery Kulikovskaya outlasted her opponent at fifth singles to take the match, 6-3, 2-6, 6-0, while Julia Fernandes took the first set at third doubles, 5-7, before dropping the next two, 6-2, 6-2. 

Detroit's Chloe Karoub and Kulikovskaya teamed up to take a match at second doubles, 8-4, while the pair of Raina Halabi and Irina Slizovskaya earned an 8-5 win at third doubles.

The Titans (0-3) will open their home schedule when they host Oakland tomorrow at the Franklin Athletic Club at 7:30 p.m.
