Nicholas Solarewicz advanced to the second round of the main draw doubles at the ITA Midwest Regional after an opening round win on Saturday, but fell on Sunday to wrap up play from Notre Dame.
The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team duo defeated Tom Hjertonsson and Carlos Manzanas of Northern Illinois, 8-6, in the first round of the draw to advance. The tandem squared off with Charlie Ernhardt and Jeffrey Schorsch of Valparaiso, but fell to the Crusaders, 8-1.
Koscielski was in action early Saturday after earning an invite into the main draw singles of the regional. Koscielski fell to the second-seeded Chris Diaz of Ohio State, 6-4 and 6-2.
In Thursday's opening round of the qualifying draw, Solarewicz was edged by Matej Kostandinov of Green Bay, 6-4 and 7-5.
With the result, Detroit wraps up the fall season and will begin offseason workouts before the spring season.
