WHAT A DEBUT- Freshman Erica Heath became the first Titan true freshman to lead Detroit in a tournament since Olivia Richards won the Titan Quad Challenge with a 74 on March 5, 2012
- She also became the first Titan true freshman to lead the team in her collegiate debut since Mandi Dupuis was seventh at the Youngstown State Invitational in Detroit's very first tournament as a varsity program on Sept. 10, 2004. Dupuis shot a 158.
WRAP UP- "It was our first tournament and I was happy with the way we played most of the time. Erica had a great front nine shooting a 37 and I was happy to see her grind out the back nine. We will move on now to Loyola and look to improve on this opening round." - Head women's golf coach Terri Anthony-Ryan.
UP NEXT- It will be a quick drive to the next tournament as the Titans stay in the state of Illinois to play in the two-day Loyola Fall Invitational starting on Monday at the Par 73, 6,132-yard Flossmoor Country Club.
