Complete ResultsSOUTHFIELD, Mich. (2/27/16) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 defeat Saturday night against the University of Northwestern Ohio from the Franklin Athletic Club.
The Racers jumped out to an early lead with a clean sweep in doubles, and took the match despite a solid rally from the Titans.

Adam Zychowicz led Detroit with singles wins. Kadyrov cruised to a two-set win from the fifth position, while Zychowicz notched a convincing win in two sets as well.
The Titans fought hard from the top three positions, but came up just short in all three matches, with each going to a tiebreaking third set.
With the win, No. 6 UNOH improved to 6-1 on the season. Meanwhile, Detroit fell to 2-8 with the loss.
The Titans return to action in two weeks against the Big Ten Conference's Northwestern. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. from Evanston, Ill.
