th-ranked Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday night from West Lafayette, Ind. 
The Boilermakers marked Detroit's fourth Big Ten opponent and the Titans' second matchup against a nationally ranked foe. The Titans are 0-4 and 0-2 against such opponents. 
Purdue jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point. The Boilermakers recorded the clean sweep after taking all six singles decisions. 
Freshman 
Adam Zychowicz gave Purdue's Lucas Dages all he could handle from the third position. Dages earned a hard fought 7-5 win in the first set, before edging Zychowicz in the second, 6-4. 
Junior 
Kacper Stelmaszak bounced back from a 6-2 loss in the first set with a valiant effort in the second, but came up just short, 7-6(3). 
With the loss, Detroit falls to 3-10 as the non-conference portion of the schedule comes to a close. Meanwhile, No. 46 Purdue improved to 12-3 this spring. 
The Titans return to action on Sunday, Mar. 27 in their Horizon League opener against Green Bay.
