HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (4/22/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team finished up round two of the Horizon League Championships on Monday with sophomore
Shana Murphy leading the way.
Murphy posted the team's lowest score with an 81 as she kept up her strong play from the end of round one by tallying three birdies on the front nine. She started the day with a birdie on one and then put in back-to-back birdies on 6 and 7 as she is tied for 26th with a 167 (86-81).
Sophomore
Kendall Payne still tops the team as she shares 23th with a 166 total (80-86). Payne's second round saw her register one birdie and six pars.
Senior
Katelyn Henry and redshirt sophomore
Julia Shaw each carded an 86, while sophomore
Alexa Hatz had an 87.
As a team, Detroit Mercy tallied a 339 and are in eighth place at the par-73, 6,031-yard Las Colinas Course at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida.
