BATAVIA, Ohio (3/23/2026) -- Sophomore
Emma McKinley helped the Titans through a shorthanded second round as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team finished the first 36 holes of NKU's The Julie on Monday.
As a team, the Titans are 10th with a 660 (328-332) at the par-72, 6,142-yard Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.
McKinley is tied for 24th with a 161 (85-76), leading the Titans and recording the best round of the tournament for the squad, carding a 4-over 76 in the afternoon. After tallying seven pars in round one, she knocked in two birdies and nine pars in round two.
Senior
Taylor Kondel shot a 165 (81-84) and shares 44th, while sophomore
Morgan Jones is tied for 57th with a 172 (88-84). Kondel had seven pars in both rounds and added a birdie in round one, and Jones posted two birdies in round two and 14 pars overall.
Graduate senior
Ariel Chang and junior
Gabriella Tapp each withdrew from round two due to injury and illness, respectively. Chang had a 77 and Tapp an 84 in the morning before they were unable to return.
The final round of the event will tee off at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
