UDM Heads To NKU's The Julie

Sophomore Morgan Jones and the Titans will be in another NKU event.
DETROIT (3/21/2026) -- After an extended spring break trip in Florida, the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team will be right back on the links as the Titans compete in NKU's The Julie.

The two-day, 36-hole tournament will start on Monday, Mar. 23, and conclude on Tuesday at the par 72, 6,142-yard Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.

The Titans will face the host Norse, Ashland, Green Bay, IU Indy, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, St Francis, Southern Indiana, UIC, Valparaiso, and Wayne State.

This will be the seventh time Detroit Mercy has played in the event, as the red, white and blue took eighth last season with a 652 (334-218). UDM finished third in 2022 with a 649 (332-317) and in 2021 with a 618, but that was at Lassing Pointe Golf Course in Union, Kentucky. The first three times the Titans were in the tournament, it was held in the fall at Elks Run. In 2016, Detroit Mercy was fifth, totaling 935 (312, 318, 205), and Sarah Thompson was the medalist, carding a career-best 220 (76, 73, 71).

Last week, the Titans placed 10th, shooting a 979 (332-327-320) at NKU's Spring Fling in Vero Beach, Florida. Graduate senior Ariel Chang led the way, tying for 24th with a 239 (83-81-75).
