
DETROIT (12-14-21) – Detroit Mercy softball Head Coach
Marc Gillis announced the 2022 schedule. The Titans will play a 14-game home slate at Buysse Ballpark after opening the 2022 campaign with a 16-game road swing beginning in Clinton, South Carolina at the Presbyterian College (PC) Invitational (Feb. 19 – 20).
The Titans then travel North to Elon, North Carolina for a pair of games at Elon along with East Carolina and Michigan State (Mar. 5-6) followed by doubleheaders at Gardner Webb (Mar. 8) and North Carolina A&T (Mar. 9).
Detroit Mercy opens Horizon League play with a series at Youngstown State (Mar. 11-12) followed by a game at Notre Dame (Mar. 15). The Titans continue league play with a home opening series against Robert Morris (Mar. 18-19) at Buysse Ballpark.
After a road series at IUPUI (Mar. 25-26) and game at Michigan State (Mar. 29), the Detroit Mercy opens a five-game home stand starting with a doubleheader against Western Michigan (Mar. 30) and three-game set against Green Bay. (Apr. 1-2).
The Titans hit the road again for a seven-game swing beginning with a Metro Series showdown at arch-rival and 2021 HL Tournament runner-up Oakland (Apr. 8-9) followed by Bowling Green (Apr. 12) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Apr. 15-16).
Detroit Mercy closes out the regular season playing six of their last eight games at home starting with defending league champion UIC (Apr. 22-23), at Northern Kentucky (Apr. 29-30) and Cleveland State (May 6-7).
