YOUNGSTOWN (2/26/22) -- The Detroit Mercy women's track and field team comes away from day one at the Horizon League indoor track and field championships with a pair of jumpers scoring for the Titans.
Going Long
Micah Carey and
Zoe Madden placed seventh and eighth respectively in the Long Jump with distances of 5.58 meters and 5.55 meters. Madden's distance of 5.55 meters was a personal record to hold on to the eighth spot.
Distance Medley
The Titans' Distance Medley Relay took sixth on day one to round out the day, running a time of 12:36.20.
Personal Record Finishes
Taylor Tomman earned a personal record in the 800-Meter Run with a time of 2:23.44 while
Josie Arnold just missed her personal best at 2:18.26.
Allison Sherman set an indoor personal record in the 5000-Meter clocking a 18:09.20 and
Kaitlin Murray set a personal record of 18:32.48.
