BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (4/9/2022) -- Graduate senior
Kendall Payne is tied for first and the Titans are just three shots out of first place as the University of Detroit Mercy women's golf team concluded the first round of Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Saturday.
The Titans totaled a 310 at the par 72, 5,829-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club as the red, white and blue trail only host BGSU and Akron.
Payne had three birdies and 12 pars as she tied her career-low with a 1-over 73. She sits in a three-way tie for first on the same course that she posted a runner-up mark last year.
Graduate senior
Alexa Hatz is just in back of her as she is third with a 2-over 74. Hatz was brilliant at the start with five birdies and five pars in her first 10 holes.
Playing as an individual, sophomore
Sophia Ubaydi shot a career-low 79 as she had eight pars and two birdies. Graduate senior
Shana Murphy is tied for 35th with an 81, while junior
Sydney Bradford registered an 82 for a share of 42nd. Both Murphy and Bradford had nine pars with Murphy knocking in a birdie.
