Titans Open Can-Am Classic

Freshman Luke Bracket was top-10 in the hurdles.

WINDSOR, Ont. (1/10/2025) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team returned from the holiday break on Friday. The Titans made the short trip across the Detroit River to Windsor University to compete in day one of the 42nd Annual Can-Am Classic.

In the 60-meter hurdle finals, UDM had two top-10 finishers. Freshman Luke Bracket crossed the line in ninth place with a time of 8.87 seconds, while fellow freshman Andrew Drakos was 10th with a time of 9.09.

Junior Anthony Yip competed in the shot put event for UDM, finishing 11th with a personal best throw of 11.88-meters.

The remaining events of the Can-Am Classic will be contested on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
