Titans Open Up Elaine Leigh Track Invite

Junior Claire Hunt led a trio of Titans clock under 5 in the 1,500-meters.

ROCHESTER, Mich. (4/18/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team posted a few top 10's in the first day of Oakland's Elaine Leigh Track Invite.

Senior Zoe Madden led the way by taking third in the long jump at 5.40 meters.

Freshman Haley Lipscomb was fourth in the javelin with a mark of 24.60m, while freshman Abbey Ressler tied for fifth in the pole vault clearing 3.22.

On the track, junior Claire Hunt clocked a time of 4:48.89 for sixth in the 1,500-meters, just ahead of freshman Ana Lopez's 4:50.77.

Day two of the event will start tomorrow at Noon.
