DETROIT (1/13/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy track and field program ran one meet before Christmas break, but now the indoor season will officially get underway as the Titans compete in the SVSU Classic on Friday.
The meet will start at 2:30 with jumps and throws, while the running events are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.Â
Detroit Mercy had one competition weekend before the holiday break, with most of the team at Notre Dame's Blue & Gold Invitational and some at the SVSU Holiday Open.Â
For the men, senior
Jaden McKenzie was the top performer, taking third in the 300-meters at Notre Dame.Â
The women saw a couple of records broken as sophomore
Lyla Mullins claimed runner-up in the shot put with a school-record 13.84-meters at Saginaw Valley, while freshman
Imani Sharp tied the school 60m mark, clocking 7.65 for a bronze effort.Â
