ALLENDALE, Mich. (2/13/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team set a small delegation up north, but it proved to be highly successful as the Titans competed in Grand Valley State's Big Meet on Friday.

Freshman Deon Robertson won the high jump with a season-best 1.99 meters, which is now fifth all-time in school history and the second-best mark ever by a rookie behind Hall-of-Fame Paul Caraballo.

Freshman Colin Murray garnered a silver in the 3,000 meters as he crossed the finish line in 8:21.57, the third-best run in the school record book and the best ever by a rookie, breaking Ben Kendell's 8:23.91 in 2015.

Senior Joshua Otten was 12th in the mile at 4:12.52, while senior Antonio Talley claimed seventh in the 400m in a season-best 49.87.

Detroit Mercy will have one final test before the Horizon League Championship as the red, white and blue compete in Michigan's Silverston Invitational next Friday.
