DETROIT (2/7/2026) -- Freshman Colin Murray set another rookie record, and a pair of Titans posted top-10 finishes as the University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field wrapped up events in Canada and Michigan on Saturday.

Murray claimed ninth in the mile at the Michigan Invitational with a Titan record 4:14.68, ninth overall in school history.

Freshman Joey DeCasas earned fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.94 meters.

Junior Jesse Lietzow placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 13.16m, while freshman Angelo Finnie Jr. finished 10th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.47.

Junior Joshua Neary and freshman Weston Glei shared sixth in the heptathlon with 4,174 points, with Glei moving to fifth in school history.

Detroit Mercy will be back in action next week when it heads to Grand Valley State's Big Meet on Friday.
