DETROIT (4/3/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team has a quick turnaround, as the team will be in Ohio for NKU's Jewell Invitational.
The two-day, 54-hole event will start on Monday, Apr. 6, and finish up on Tuesday at the par 71, 6,845-yard Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio.Â
The field will have the host Norse, Bellarmine, Butler, Cleveland State, Green Bay, IU Indy, Mercyhurst, Miami (OH), Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Toledo, Robert Morris, Xavier, and Youngstown State.
It is the fourth straight season that UDM will compete in NKU's spring tournament. Last season, the Titans were eighth with a 591 (296-295) as junior
Mason Sokolowski shared 11th, shooting a career-low 143 (69-74).Â
Detroit Mercy is coming off a season-best effort of 867 (289-292-286) at Butler's Don Benbow Spring Invitational, tied for the ninth-best score in school history. Graduate senior
Bavake Sihota had a great event, placing sixth with a career-best 207 (69-70-68), the fourth-best 54-hole total in school history.Â
Sihota has a 74.00 average in his two spring events. Sokolowski is at 75.59, while junior
David Swab is sporting a 76.00.Â
