Men's Golf Honored With PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. (8/5/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf program has always had an excellent tradition in the classroom as the red, white and blue received the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

The team tallied a 3.36 GPA last season.

A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, with six coming from the Horizon League.

It is the 15th time in school history that the Titans earned the distinction, which started in 2009, with two selections as the President's Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above in 2009 and 2010.

UDM is just a month away from starting the new collegiate season.
