2015: Played in all 14 games as the Titans top faceoff specialist… Was 101-of-205 on the year with his .493 winning percentage ranked fifth in the MAAC… Had seven games with a .500 record or better and three games recording 10 wins or more… Was second on the team with 34 ground balls… Won nine faceoffs and had four ground balls and a caused turnover at Michigan… Was 10-of-24 with three ground balls against Robert Morris… Posted a 9-of-17 effort at Air Force… Tallied 10-of-15 faceoffs versus Manhattan… Was 6-of-9 with four ground balls against Monmouth… Ended with a season-best 13-of-21 mark with three GB’s at Siena… Won 9-of-12 faceoffs corralling a season-high five ground balls against Canisius… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2014: Saw action in 13 of Detroit’s 14 games as a faceoff specialist… Was 85-of-193 (.440) on the year with a team-high 39 ground balls… Also had an assist and three caused turnovers… Started the year with an 8-of-17 performance with three ground balls in the win over Mercer… Won a career-best 14-of-19 and tied his career-high with seven ground balls at Robert Morris… Was 8-of-14 with seven GB’s in the road victory at Wagner… Tied his career marks going 14-of-22 with seven more ground balls against Quinnipiac… Recorded seven faceoff wins, four ground balls, a caused turnover and an assist in the come-from-behind win over Marist… Ended 9-of-20 with two ground balls in the MAAC Championship Semifinals at Marist… A member of the University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. 

2013: Took over as Detroit’s top faceoff man and ended up being selected to the MAAC’s All-Rookie Team… Played in all 15 games and was 104-of-199… His school record .523 winning percentage was good for fourth in the MAAC and 31st in the country… Had six games with double-digit victories and 11 games where he won at least 50%… Finished second on the team with 48 ground balls… Also scored two goals on just nine shots… Started his collegiate career taking 3-of-5 with a ground ball at Ohio State… Came back the next week and scored his first collegiate goal at Navy off a faceoff win… Was 8-of-13 with a season-high seven ground balls at Bellarmine… Tallied 11 victories in just 15 attempts in the triumph over VMI… Recorded a season-high 12 wins in 16 attempts in a winning effort against Manhattan, picking up five GB’s in the process, and was later named the MAAC Newcomer of the Week… Came away with 11 wins and six ground balls at Siena… Was 8-of-18 with four GB’s and his second goal of his career in the regular-season finale victory against Canisius… Posted an 11-of-17 sheet and tied his season high with seven ground balls in the MAAC Semifinals win over top-seeded Marist and then ended with 10 wins and five GB’s in the come-from-behind title game triumph versus Siena… Won 10-of-19 in the first round of the NCAA Championship at #2 Notre Dame – including seven-straight wins at one point.

2012: Did not see action in any games.

Prior To Detroit: Earned varsity letters in lacrosse and one in track...Tallied 55 goals and 30 assists in his two years at Copiague and that was after notching 32 goals and seven assists at Holy Trinity… Won the Garred Pennington Memorial Lacrosse award as a senior as well as the Walter G. O’Connell senior award…Earned the Fran McCall Unsung Hero Award as a junior and the Holy Trinity Offensive MVP as a sophomore…Played club lacrosse with Checkmate and the Babylon Bullets.

Personal: Son of Dawn and Ron Hicks…Had an older brother and a younger sister…His older brother wrestles at Clarion, while his cousin Dean Morrison wrestled at West Virginia and was an NCAA champion in 1994…Enjoys playing video games, swimming and working out …A Legal Administration major.
