MEMPHIS – The women's tennis squad wrapped up its weekend road trip playing against the host team Memphis on Saturday.

The Titans (0-11) battled hard, but fell by a score of 7-0.

Detroit dropped a 6-1 decision to Illinois State on Friday as sophomore Carolina Salas Espinosa (Monterrey, Mexico/Preparatoria No. 7) earned a point for the Titans at No. 1 singles. In that match-up, she fought back and won the final two sets 6-1 and 10-7 after dropping the opener 6-2.

Detroit will return home to host Wright State on Mar. 18 at 7:00 p.m. The contest will be played at the Franklin Athletic Club in Southfield.
