MATCH RESULTS
EAST LANSING, Mich. --
Chloe Karoub led the Titans (0-5) with a win at No. 1 singles against Michigan State (6-1) Saturday but the Spartans were too much for Detroit taking a 6-1 victory.
Karoub started the match-up slow as she ended up falling 6-1 in the first set. After regrouping, she came back to win 6-4 in the second set and took a third set tiebreaker 11-9 as she walked away with the win for the lone Detroit point.
Amanda Cornwell and
Elena Strakhova paired up at the No. 1 doubles position and scored a 8-7 (3) victory as the two were able to take down the No. 1 duo from Michigan State.
The next match for the Titans will be this Friday as they will play at IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN at 7:00 p.m.
