Box Score

INDIANAPOLIS (4/19/2015) --
The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team knew that it will be playing in the postseason as the Titans ended the regular season with a 5-2 loss at IUPUI on Sunday.

Detroit concluded the conference campaign last week and will be the sixth seed in the HL Championship as the red, white and blue ended the year at 5-15 overall and 1-5 league play.

Sophomores Patryk Koscielski and Ismail Kadyrov picked up the two wins in singles against the Jaguars (10-16) on Sunday. Koscielski claimed his team-leading 12th victory of the year as he defeated Jac Newis, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1.

Kadyrov had a thrilling come-from-behind triumph at No. 5 as he beat Jose Calero, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (3).

The Titans will be back in action on Friday, April 24, as they look for their first-ever league title when they compete in the Horizon League Championship. The event will be held at the Schwartz Tennis Center on the campus of Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana.
