DETROIT (3/26/16) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's tennis team heads to Wisconsin on Sunday for its Horizon League opener at Green Bay. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET from the Western Racquet & Fitness Club.

SCOUTING THE TITANSDetroit is 3-10 on the season with a number of fierce opponents already in the books. The Titans are 3-1 at home, but have dropped nine road contests.
In singles, Detroit is 42-65 overall and 26-52 in duals. The Titans are led in wins by a pair of freshmen in
Adam Zychowicz and
Nicholas Solarewicz, with nine and seven wins respectively. Zychowicz is 2-1 from the fourth position and 3-2 from the sixth, while Solarewicz has four wins from the third, fourth and fifth spots.
Patryk Koscielski has three wins from Detroit's top line, followed by
Nathan Ponton with three wins from the second spot.
In doubles, Detroit is 17-31 overall and 11-23 in duals. The tandem of
Chance Conley and
Griffin Mertz leads the Titans with six wins from the second and third positions.
LAST TIME OUTThe Titans fell at No. 46 Purdue, 7-0 in their most recent action on Saturday, Mar. 19.
SCOUTING THE PHOENIXGreen Bay enters the conference portion of the schedule at 7-5 overall. The Phoenix has won three of the last four, with the lone loss coming at the hands of No. 55 Wisconsin. Green Bay boasts wins over DePaul, Butler, Toledo, UW-Whitewater, Cardinal-Stritch and most recently, Olivet Nazarene.
