DETROIT (2/16/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team continues their six-game road trip on Friday at Bowling Green State University. The Titans and Falcons are set to square off at 1 p.m. from Perrysburg Tennis Center in the Buckeye State.
LAST TIME OUT
Detroit Mercy split a pair of contests last weekend in the Empire State. The Titans recorded a 7-0 sweep at Niagara, before being edged by Buffalo, 4-3. Detroit Mercy swept the doubles point, before taking all six singles matches in straight sets over the Purple Eagles. Against Buffalo, the Titan rally came up just short as the Bulls eked out the win to snap Detroit Mercy's three-game win streak.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS
Bowling Green is 2-3 on the early season after splitting a pair of matches last weekend. The Falcons were edged by Wright State, 4-3, before bouncing back with a 4-3 win over Dayton. Sophomore Paula Comella leads the team with a 3-2 mark from the top singles line, while Polina Radeva is 3-1 from the third and fourth positions.
BGSU leads the Titans, 8-2, in the all-time series between the teams. Detroit and the Falcons met for the first time in nearly four years last year. The Orange and Brown defeated the Titans, 5-2 picking up their first win of the season in 2016.
