CLEVELAND, Ohio (4/9/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback in Horizon League action at Cleveland State on Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings earned the doubles point and pulled away after taking five of six singles decisions.

Anna Davydova earned an impressive win at the top line of singles, taking the match in straight sets with hard fought wins of 7-5 and 6-4.

Nynke Van Der Goot fell in a pair of tough 7-5 and 7-6 decisions at No. 4 singles.
Cleveland State earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, while Van Der Goot and Davydova led 5-2 at No. 2 when the match went unfinished.
The Titans fall to 6-10 overall and 2-2 in Horizon League play, while the Vikings improve to 12-8 overall and stay perfect in conference action at 6-0.
Detroit Mercy returns home next weekend for a pair of Horizon League contests against Wright State and Northern Kentucky on Saturday and Sunday, April 15 and 16.
