Titan Scorecard
Here is a recap of the action at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate:
- Detroit Mercy's 881 was the lowest 54-hole tournament score since finishing with an 868 at the 2016 Jackrabbit Invitational, while the second round 289 was the lowest since the Titans posted a 288 in the second round of last year's Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.Â
- The Titans chased down Horizon League-rival Wright State in the final round, besting the Raiders by 13 strokes.
- Detroit Mercy's 289 in the second round was a season low and the 292 on the final 18 was tied for the fifth best score in round three.
- Schulert's previous career best was a 230 at the 2016 Cleveland State Invitational, while Sparks' previous best was a 224 at last year's Big Blue Intercollegiate, also held in Tennessee.
- Sparks was among the tournament leaders in Par 3 (E, 3.00) and Par 4 (+2, 4.07) scoring average.Â
- Schulert carded an even-par 72 in round one and Sparks had a 1-under 71 in round two and an even-par 72 on the final 18.Â
- Tenerowicz rebounded from an 81 in round one to post back-to-back 1-under 71's to close out the tournament.Â

Assistant Coach Josh Shaw's Take:
- "I saw some really good play out there this week, and we made a move up the leaderboard with a solid final round in some windy conditions. We left too much to do after day one and did not get our fair share of putts to drop. With that being said, we have many positives to take home in preparation for our next event."
- "Devan showed exactly what he is capable of this week. If some putts had dropped for him, we could have been talking about three scores in the 60's. I am very excited to see him take this form into the next tournament he plays."
- "Eric was very solid tee to green as he is most weeks and again on the greens, it didn't quite happen for him. He played some really good golf and should be pleased with the way his game is coming along."
- "Scott was on form with his driver and irons. He hit a lot of fairways and had a lot of chances for birdie. Zack did so well to come back from his first round. He didn't have his 'A' game in any of the three rounds this week and that makes it all the more impressive that he stuck with it. He is a big talent that will deliver for us in the coming events."
