Glei Wears Bronze As Titans Conclude #HLTF Indoor Championships

Freshman Weston Glei set a school record in his bronze effort at the #HLTF Indoor Championships.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (3/1/2026) -- Freshman Weston Glei recorded a top-three finish and a school record, and a few other Titans found their way to the podium as the University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team wrapped up the Horizon League Indoor Championships on Sunday.

As a team, the Titans finished seventh with 38 points in the league gathering, held at Youngstown State.

Glei had a great start to postseason career, registering a Titan heptathlon record with 4,550 points. He won the high jump and placed second in the long jump and the 60-meter hurdles.

Senior Joshua Otten finished fourth in the mile at 4:11.49, while seniors Jaden McKenzie and Antonio Talley were sixth and seventh in the 400 meters in 48.97 and 49.09, respectively.

Freshman Deon Robertson had a top-five effort in the high jump, clearing a season-best 2.00m, and freshman Angelo Finnie Jr. placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.51.

The Titans will have a few weeks off before opening the outdoor season.
