2016: A team captain… Played in four games with one start… Had two saves at Manhattan… Started and posted eight saves against Siena… Earned the Reverend Norbert Heutter honor, given to a student-athlete who sets an example for others by their display of attitude, dedication and leadership… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and earned the Academic Excellence Award, given to Titan student-athletes who have achieved academic excellence during their time at Detroit recording at least a 3.0 GPA for every semester that they have participated in college athletics… A member of the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2015: Saw action in three games on the year… Totaled 17:45 minutes in the cage and had a 6.76 goals against average and a .818 save percentage… Made his season debut against Mercer… Played the entire fourth quarter versus Manhattan tallying eight saves and allowing just two goals… Played 2:03 inbetween the pipes against Canisius and finished with one save… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and the MAAC All-Academic Team. 

2014: Started the first two games of the year picking up a win in the season opener… Saw 121:13 minutes in the pipes with 28 saves and a .538 save percentage… Made 16 saves and let in just 10 goals with a season-high six ground balls in an 11-10 triumph over Mercer… Made 12 stops in his start against Michigan, collecting four ground balls… Earned a spot on the Detroit Athletic Director’s and the MAAC Academic Honor Rolls as well as to the MAAC All-Academic Team...Also on the University of Detroit Mercy Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

2013: Did not see any playing time on the season… Earned a spot on the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the MAAC Honor Roll.

Prior To Detroit: A four-year letterwinner for the Rockford Rams…Had a great senior year earning Michigan Lacrosse All-American honors as well as First Team All-State, All-Area, All-Conference and All-Region…Also tabbed Second Team All-State as a sophomore and junior…Finished his career with a 67.19% save percentage and school record 716 saves…Etched his name on another school record ending with 25 saves in a regional semifinals contest against South Lyon, and was named the ESPN Midwest Player of the Week on April 18, 2012, after leading the Rams to a 5-4 victory over East Grand Rapids, stopping 10 shots…As a freshman, he recorded a school-best 71.6% save percentage and a 4.09 goals against average…Named the Rockford HS Lacrosse Athlete of the Month as a senior in April and May and was a team captain in 2011 and 2012…Played two years of club for 1763…Off the field, he was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Tom and Ann Flynn…Has a younger brother… Chose Detroit because it was a chance to get an excellent education and to play high level lacrosse close to home…Lists his biggest thrill in sports as beating UD Jesuit his freshman year, and having the privilege of playing for Rockford High School head coach Tim Murray…A Business major.
