Butler (5-11, 2-1 HL) took two of the three doubles matches for a 1-0 team advantage. The Detroit duo of

Chloe Karoub defeated Caroline Hedrick and Brittany Farmer, 8-3 at the No. 2 doubles spot.
Amanda Cornwell was a straight-set winner at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 7-5.
Elena Strakhova rallied for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at the No. 3 position for Detroit.
Detroit (4-9, 1-2) heads to Dayton, Ohio Sunday to battle Wright State. Match time is set for 10:00 a.m.
