BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (4/3/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team had to battle the wind yesterday and a frost delay today, but ended up tying for ninth at the Hoosier Invitational.
Detroit posted its second-straight 302 to share ninth with a 604 at the Pat 71, 6,813-yard Indiana University Golf Course. Â
Sophomore
Eric Macrow continues to shine throughout any conditions as he tied for 11th and lowered his career low to 146 (74-72). He had 12 pars with three birdies in round two for a 1-over 72. He also tied for the tournament lead with 25 pars and led the field with a 1-under, 3.96 average on the course's Par 4's.
Junior
Kyle Gaines tied for 26th totaling a 150 (74-76), while senior
Wil Wittmann posted a 151 (73-78) for 31st.
The Titans will return to action next week, April 11-12, as they travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for the Big Blue Intercollegiate.

4TH-STRAIGHT TOP 20 FOR MACROW
- Macrow has been outstanding since cementing his place in the starting line-up as the tie for 11th was his fourth-straight top-20 effort dating back to the fall.
- Macrow tied for 11th for the second-straight tournament and started the streak sharing 10th at the Dayton Fall Invitational and tying for third in the Jackrabbit Invitational.
