MATCH RESULTS
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Detroit's women's tennis squad played a road contest at Ball State (4-0) Friday evening as the Titans (0-4) were kept out of the win column with a 7-0 loss to the Cardinals.
Ball State was too much to handle as they took their fourth straight victory.
The Titans were nearly victorious in both doubles match-ups as the two matches were lost by a combined three points. The No. 1 pairing of
Julia Fernandes and
Amanda Cornwell fell 9-7 and then the second Detroit combination of
Raina Halabi and
Chloe Karoub were close with an 8-6 score in the No. 2 spot but a victory was not in the cards for the Titans on this night.
The Cardinals then captured victories in each of the singles matches en route to the victory.
The next action for the Titans will be on Sat. Feb. 18 at Michigan State with a 3:00 p.m. start time in East Lansing.
