Biography

2013: Ended a great career by being named Second Team All-MAAC for the second time and to the MAAC All-Tournament Team for the third-straight year… Started all 12 games that he appeared in and posted 142 saves and 45 ground balls – third on the team… Was 15th in the nation with 11.83 saves per game, 17th in save percentage (.557) and 24th in goals against average (9.44)… Led the conference in save percentage and was third in GAA and saves per game, all career highs… Recorded double-digit saves in 10 of his 12 starts... Name the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week after making a season-high 18 saves – one off his career high – and allowing just seven goals in a crucial win against Canisius in the regular-season finale, a victory that clinched a spot in the MAAC Championships… Came back the next week and gave up just six goals with 17 saves in the MAAC Semifinals victory over top-seeded Marist… Tallied eight saves in the MAAC Championship triumph over Siena and 10 in the near upset over #2 Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Championship… Started the season with 17 saves and five ground balls at Ohio State… Came away with 10 saves and a season-high seven ground balls at Robert Morris… Stopped 12 shots against Quinnipiac and 11 at Marist… Finished his career with 609 saves, a .525 save percentage, a 10.62 goals against average and 165 ground balls in 55 career games.

2012: Earned MAAC All-Tournament honors for the second-straight season…Selected Team MVP at the end of the year banquet…Saw action in 14 games with 13 starts…Posted 152 saves – third in the MAAC – and a career-high 43 ground balls – second on the team…Was 13th in Division I with 10.86 saves per game and 20th in saves percentage (.541)…Had 10 games with double digit saves, including six straight to end the year…Posted a career-high 19 saves and came up with four ground balls at Georgetown…Had 14 saves against Bellarmine and versus Canisius in the MAAC Tournament semifinals…In that game against the Golden Griffins, he scored his first collegiate goal firing one in the net as time expired…Tallied 13 saves and a career-high nine ground balls at Manhattan…Also had 13 stops in the home setback to Siena and on the road at Ohio State, where he also collected seven GB’s…Made 10 saves at No. 6 North Carolina, against Jacksonville and at VMI…Named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week after coming up with nine saves and allowing just seven goals - three in the second half – in leading UDM to an overtime win against Marist.

2011: Had a fantastic season starting all 16 games in net earning second team All-Conference honors…Tallied 179 saves on the year, second in the league, while also finishing second in the MAAC with a .521 saves percentage, both career highs…Fourth on the team with a career-best 40 ground balls…Had 10 games on the year with double-digit saves, including 13 in the MAAC tournament semifinals victory over Marist…Also had 13 stops in the championship game against Siena…Posted a career-high 17 saves and a season-high six ground balls in the season opener at No. 17 Delaware…Stopped 16 shots in the road win at Siena - where he also picked up five GB’s and had a caused turnover - and in the setback against Lehigh…Had 14 saves in the triumph’s over VMI and Manhattan, which led to him being named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week following both games…Also recorded his first collegiate point with an assist in the win over the Jaspers as his long outlet pass led to a goal by Scott Harris…Made 13 saves in road games at Jacksonville and at Marist…Allowed less than 10 goals on seven occasions, including four in a tough 4-3 loss at Ohio State.

2010: Started the first 13 games of the season…Was the winning goalie for the first two wins in program history as Detroit beat Presbyterian and VMI in back-to-back games…Made 136 saves for a .482 saves percentage, while posting a 12.27 goals against average…Finished third on the team with 37 ground balls…Tallied double-digit saves in nine of his 13 games…Started his career with eight saves in the season opener versus Bellarmine…Set his career best with 14 saves at Ohio State and would later tie that mark at Siena…Came up with 11 saves and a season-high eight ground balls at Manhattan…Made four saves against Presbyterian and had 12 stops plus five GB’s versus VMI…Posted 13 saves, six ground balls and a career-high four caused turnovers at Yale.

Prior to Detroit: A four-year starter in goal for Dublin…A 2009 US Lacrosse Ohio Chapter All-American…Tallied over 1,000 career saves and owns the school record for most saves in a game (23) and season (285 as a sophomore)…A three-time All-Region selection, including twice on the first team…Tabbed All-Midwest second team as a sophomore and first team as a junior…A two-time All-Ohio Capital Conference award winner…Named Ohio Goalie of the Year as a junior.
