Detroit Mercy Titans Hall of Fame
When the Titans needed someone to help seal their lone MCC title, they turned to a freshman's arm, and that right arm went on to become one of the best pitchers in school history. Chris Andrzejak starred on the mound for UDM from 1997-00 and was named the MCC Pitcher of the Year as a senior. He was also a three-time All-MCC honoree and is the all-time leader in innings pitched (292) and games started (43), and is second in career games (61) and strikeouts (238). He is also tied for fourth in shutouts (3) and in saves (9), and had 21 wins in his career. As a freshman, he tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings of relief, picked up two postseason saves, helped the Titans secure the conference title, and was named to the All-Tournament Team.Â
