She was recruited to play basketball, but ultimately, she ended up on the softball field, where she had two of the best offensive seasons in school history. Gina Menta was the MCC Player of the Year, Second Team NSCA All-Mideast, and the MCC Championship MVP in 1989, helping the Titans take home the league crown. She was also a two-time First Team All-MCC and ranks second all-time in batting average (.389), slugging percentage (.591), and triples (15). She batted .389 - top 30 in the nation - with four home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored, 10 doubles, and nine triples in that player of the year campaign, and came back to hit .390 the following season with two home runs, 38 RBI, and 33 runs scored. She helped the Titans to a pair of 30-win campaigns, including a then-school record of 37 in 1989. She suited up for two seasons on the hardwood, playing in 26 games, with six starts, and averaging 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds.
