Mark Risch left his mark in track and field from 1994-98. A six-time All-MCC performer, he graduated as the school record holder in the hurdles. As a senior, he was a NCAA provisional qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles and ranked 39th in the nation with a school-record time of 51.25. He also won the 400 hurdles at the Central Collegiate Conference and would go on to earn the Athlete of the Meet Honor. He set a MCC record in the 400 hurdles and was on the winning 4x100 in 1998, and he also won gold in the 400 hurdles in the indoor campaign. He ran a leg on the winning 1995, 1996, and 1997 4x400-meter relays and was part of a team that won the conference indoor championship in 1996, as well as the first year of the league's outdoor championship in 1998.Â
