Lutz was one of U-D’s greatest backs and pass-catchers. He caught the longest pass in Titan history which was a 98-yard TD pass from QB Jack Wieczorek in 1935 against Bucknell. He led U-D in scoring in 1934 and played in the same backfield with Hall of Famer Doug Nott.
